The chief priests and the leaders of the Jews presented their case against Paul to him; and they appealed,


Then Festus said, ‘King Agrippa and all men present with us, you see this man. The whole Jewish community has appealed to me concerning him, both in Jerusalem and here, shouting that he should not live any longer.


‘Lord,’ Ananias answered, ‘I have heard from many people about this man, how much harm he has done to your saints in Jerusalem.


But the Lord said to him, ‘Go, for this man is my chosen instrument   to take my name to Gentiles,   kings, and Israelites.


At the moment I am travelling to Jerusalem  to serve the saints,


Brothers and sisters, you know the household of Stephanas: They are the firstfruits  of Achaia  and have devoted themselves to serving the saints. I urge you


He has delivered  us from such a terrible death,  and he will deliver us. We have put our hope in him that he will deliver us again,


they begged us earnestly for the privilege of sharing  in the ministry to the saints,


Now concerning the ministry to the saints, it is unnecessary for me to write to you.


Because of the proof provided by this ministry, they will glorify God for your obedient confession of the gospel of Christ, and for your generosity  in sharing with them and with everyone.


who killed the Lord Jesus  and the prophets and persecuted us.  They displease God and are hostile to everyone,


and that we may be delivered  from wicked and evil people, for not all have faith.


along with the persecutions and sufferings  that came to me in Antioch,  Iconium,  and Lystra.  What persecutions I endured #– #and yet the Lord rescued me from them all.


But the Lord stood with me and strengthened me, so that I might fully preach the word and all the Gentiles might hear it. So I was rescued from the lion’s mouth.
