For those of you who were baptised into Christ have been clothed with Christ.


Now those who belong to Christ Jesus  have crucified the flesh  with its passions and desires.


and to put on  , the new self, the one created  according to God’s likeness  in righteousness and purity of the truth.


Although these have a reputation for wisdom  by promoting self-made religion, false humility, and severe treatment of the body, they are not of any value in curbing self-indulgence.  ,


Dear friends, I urge you as strangers and exiles  to abstain  from sinful  desires that wage war against the soul.
