The one who boasts about a gift that does not exist is like clouds and wind without rain.

Do you see a person who is wise in his own eyes? There is more hope for a fool than for him.

He feeds on   ashes. His deceived mind has led him astray, and he cannot rescue himself, or say, ‘Isn’t there a lie in my right hand? ’

You were secure in your wickedness; you said, “No one sees me.” Your wisdom and knowledge led you astray. You said to yourself, “I am, and there is no one else.”

Everyone is stupid and ignorant. Every goldsmith is put to shame by his carved image, for his cast images are a lie; there is no breath in them.

‘For my people are fools; they do not know me. They are foolish children, without understanding. They are skilled in doing what is evil, but they do not know how to do what is good.’

But if your eye is bad, your whole body will be full of darkness. So if the light within you is darkness, how deep is that darkness!

I don’t want you to be ignorant  of this mystery,  brothers and sisters, so that you will not be conceited:  A partial hardening has come upon Israel  until the fullness of the Gentiles has come in.
