When all has been heard, the conclusion of the matter is this: fear God  and keep his commands, because this is for all  humanity.


Although a sinner does evil a hundred times and prolongs his life,  I also know that it will go well with God-fearing people,  for they are reverent before him.


But reports from the east  and the north will terrify him, and he will go out with great fury to annihilate and completely destroy many.


But the court will convene,  and his dominion will be taken away, to be completely destroyed for ever.


He will cause deceit to prosper through his cunning and by his influence, and in his own mind he will exalt himself. He will destroy many in a time of peace; he will even stand against the Prince of princes. Yet he will be broken #– #not by human hands.


Be glad and rejoice, because your reward is great in heaven. For that is how they persecuted   the prophets who were before you.


His mercy is from generation to generation on those who fear him.


And just as it is appointed for people to die once #– #and after this, judgement   #– #


but in the days when the seventh angel  will blow his trumpet, then the mystery of God  will be completed, as he announced to his servants the prophets.’


But exclude the courtyard outside the temple.  Don’t measure it, because it is given to the nations,  , and they will trample the holy city  for forty-two months.


If anyone is to be taken captive, into captivity he goes. If anyone is to be killed  with a sword, with a sword he will be killed. This calls for endurance  and faithfulness from the saints.


And it makes everyone #– #small and great, rich and poor, free and slave #– # receive a mark on his right hand or on his forehead,


he will also drink the wine of God’s wrath, which is poured full strength into the cup of his anger.  He will be tormented with fire and sulphur  in the sight of the holy angels and in the sight of the Lamb,


Then I saw another great and awe-inspiring sign  in heaven:  seven angels with the seven last plagues; for with them God’s wrath will be completed.


One of the four living creatures gave the seven angels seven golden bowls filled with the wrath of God who lives for ever and ever.


Pay her back the way she also paid, and double it according to her works. In the cup in which she mixed, mix a double portion for her.


A sharp  sword  came from his mouth, so that he might strike the nations with it.  He will rule  them with an iron rod.  He will also trample the winepress of the fierce anger of God,  the Almighty.


so that you may eat the flesh of kings, the flesh of military commanders, the flesh of the mighty, the flesh of horses and of their riders, and the flesh of everyone, both free and slave, small and great.’


A voice came from the throne, saying, Praise our God, all his servants, and the ones who fear him, both small and great!


I also saw the dead, the great and the small, standing before the throne, and books were opened.  Another book was opened, which is the book of life,  and the dead were judged according to their works  by what was written in the books.


And anyone whose name was not found written in the book of life was thrown into the lake of fire.


‘Look, I am coming soon, and my reward is with me   to repay each person according to his work.
