The one who is lazy in his work is brother to a vandal.  ,


Laziness induces deep sleep, and a lazy person will go hungry.


The one who loves pleasure will become poor; whoever loves wine and oil will not get rich.


Because of laziness the roof caves in, and because of negligent hands the house leaks.


Wake up, you drunkards,  and weep; wail, all you wine drinkers, because of the sweet wine, for it has been taken from your mouth.


The Son of Man came eating and drinking, and they say, “Look, a glutton and a drunkard,   a friend of tax collectors and sinners! ”   Yet wisdom is vindicated   by her deeds.’


But actually, I wrote  you not to associate with anyone who claims to be a brother or sister  and is sexually immoral or greedy, an idolater or verbally abusive, a drunkard  or a swindler. Do not even eat with such a person.


no thieves,  greedy  people, drunkards, verbally abusive people,  or swindlers  will inherit God’s kingdom.


envy,  , drunkenness, carousing,  and anything similar. I am warning you about these things #– #as I warned you before #– #that those who practise such things will not inherit the kingdom of God.


They will say to the elders of his city, “This son of ours is stubborn and rebellious; he doesn’t obey us. He’s a glutton and a drunkard.”


Their end is destruction; their god is their stomach; their glory  is in their shame; and they are focused on earthly things.
