If you do what is right, won’t you be accepted? But if you do not do what is right, sin is crouching at the door. Its desire is for you, but you must rule over it.’


If the righteous will be repaid on earth, how much more the wicked and sinful.


The one who has contempt for instruction will pay the penalty, but the one who respects a command will be rewarded.


If anyone returns evil for good, evil will never depart from his house.


Though a righteous person falls seven times, he will get up, but the wicked will stumble into ruin.


But disaster will happen to you; you will not know how to avert it. And it will fall on you, but you will be unable to ward it off. Devastation will happen to you suddenly and unexpectedly.


This is what the Lord God says: Look, one disaster after another is coming!


But if you don’t do this, you will certainly sin against the Lord; be sure your sin will catch up with you.


When the local people saw the snake hanging from his hand, they said to one another, ‘This man, no doubt, is a murderer. Even though he has escaped the sea, Justice has not allowed him to live.’
