so that your name will be exalted for ever, when it is said, ‘The Lord of Armies is God over Israel.’ The house of your servant David  will be established before you


The king gave the orders for this to be done, so a law was announced in Susa, and they hung the bodies of Haman’s ten sons.


But the sight of the wicked  will fail. Their way of escape will be cut off, and their only hope is their last breath.


Therefore, he recognises their deeds and overthrows them by night, and they are crushed.


When the whirlwind passes, the wicked are no more, but the righteous are secure for ever.


Be assured  that a wicked person will not go unpunished, but the offspring of the righteous will escape.


A man is praised for his insight, but a twisted mind is despised.


Every wise woman builds her house, but a foolish one tears it down with her own hands.


The house of the wicked will be destroyed, but the tent of the upright will flourish.


The Lord tears apart the house of the proud, but he protects the widow’s territory.
