Then Elijah said to King Ahaziah, ‘This is what the Lord says: “Because you have sent messengers to enquire of Baal-zebub, the god of Ekron #– #is it because there is no God in Israel for you to enquire of his will? #– #you will not get up from your sick-bed; you will certainly die.” ’


Therefore, this is what the Lord says: You will not get up from your sick-bed; you will certainly die.” ’ Then Elijah left.


The reward of the righteous is life; the wages of the wicked is punishment.


Wealth is not profitable on a day of wrath, but righteousness rescues from death.


There is life in the path of righteousness, and in its path there is no death.  ,


The fear of the Lord leads to life; one will sleep at night  without danger.


The person who strays from the way of prudence will come to rest in the assembly of the departed spirits.


The one who pursues righteousness and faithful love will find life, righteousness, and honour.


but the one who misses me  harms himself; all who hate me love death.’


but in every nation the person who fears him and does what is right is acceptable to him.


For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.


Pursue justice and justice alone, so that you will live and possess the land the Lord your God is giving you.


Then after desire has conceived, it gives birth to sin, and when sin is fully grown, it gives birth to death.


This is how God’s children and the devil’s children become obvious. Whoever does not do what is right is not of God, especially the one who does not love his brother or sister.


Little children, let no one deceive you. The one who does what is right is righteous, just as he is righteous.
