Wisdom calls out in the street; she makes her voice heard in the public squares.


The one who profits dishonestly  troubles his household, but the one who hates bribes will live.


To be a thief’s partner is to hate oneself; he hears the curse but will not testify.


There is a sickening tragedy I have seen under the sun: wealth kept by its owner to his harm.


Woe to him who dishonestly makes wealth for his house  , to place his nest on high, to escape the grasp of disaster!


not an excessive drinker, not a bully but gentle, not quarrelsome, not greedy.


When I saw among the spoils a beautiful cloak from Babylon,  two and a half kilograms  of silver, and a bar of gold weighing half a kilogram,  I coveted them and took them.  You can see for yourself. They are concealed in the ground inside my tent, with the silver under the cloak.’
