Wisdom forewarns far and wide; she bestows her voice in the streets.


Whoever pursues avarice disturbs his own house. But whoever hates bribes shall live. Through mercy and faith, sins are purged. But through the fear of the Lord, each one turns aside from evil.


Whoever participates with a thief hates his own soul; for he listens to his oath and does not denounce him.


For they are lost in a most grievous affliction. He has produced a son, who will be in the utmost destitution.
