One of the survivors came and told Abram the Hebrew,  who lived near the oaks belonging to Mamre the Amorite, the brother of Eshcol and the brother of Aner. They were bound by a treaty with Abram.


That place was called Eshcol  Valley because of the cluster of grapes the Israelites cut there.


After they went up as far as Eshcol Valley and saw the land, they discouraged the Israelites from entering the land the Lord had given them.


a land of wheat, barley, vines, figs, and pomegranates; a land of olive oil and honey;


Some time later, he fell in love with a woman named Delilah, who lived in the Sorek Valley.
