Then I said, ‘What you are doing isn’t right. Shouldn’t you walk in the fear of our God  and not invite the reproach of our foreign enemies?


The noblemen’s voices were hushed, and their tongues stuck to the roof of their mouths.


Job’s friends are dismayed and can no longer answer; words have left them.


‘Whoever kidnaps a person must be put to death, whether he sells him or the person is found in his possession.


So he said to him, “Friend,   how did you get in here without wedding clothes? ” The man was speechless.


To one he gave five talents,   to another two talents, and to another one talent, depending on each one’s ability. Then he went on a journey.   Immediately


For to everyone who has, more will be given, and he will have more than enough. But from the one who does not have, even what he has will be taken away from him.


For if your brother or sister is hurt by what you eat, you are no longer walking according to love.  Do not destroy, by what you eat, someone for whom Christ died.


Now we know that whatever the law says,  it speaks to those who are subject to the law,  , so that every mouth may be shut and the whole world may become subject to God’s judgement.  ,


So the weak person, the brother or sister for whom Christ died,  is ruined  , by your knowledge.


For if the eagerness is there, the gift is acceptable according to what a person has, not according to what he does not have.


Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us work  for the good  of all, especially for those who belong to the household  of faith.


‘If a man is discovered kidnapping  one of his Israelite brothers, whether he treats him as a slave or sells him, the kidnapper must die. You must purge the evil from you.
