Then someone reported to David, ‘Ahithophel is among the conspirators with Absalom.’ ‘Lord,’ David pleaded, ‘please turn the counsel of Ahithophel into foolishness! ’


At Gibeon the Lord appeared to Solomon  in a dream at night.  God said, ‘Ask.  What should I give you? ’


Please, Lord, let your ear be attentive  to the prayer of your servant and to that of your servants who delight to revere your name. Give your servant success today,  and grant him compassion in the presence of this man.  , At the time, I was the king’s cupbearer.


When I heard these words, I sat down and wept. I mourned for a number of days, fasting and praying  before the God of the heavens.


I said, Lord, the God of the heavens, the great and awe-inspiring God who keeps his gracious covenant with those who love him  and keep his commands,


I gave them this reply, ‘The God of the heavens is the one who will grant us success. We, his servants, will start building, but you have no share, right, or historic claim in Jerusalem.’


and answered the king, ‘If it pleases the king, and if your servant has found favour with you, send me to Judah and to the city where my ancestors are buried,  , so that I may rebuild it.’


‘What is it, Queen Esther? ’ the king asked her. ‘Whatever you want, even to half the kingdom, will be given to you.’


While drinking the  wine,  the king asked Esther, ‘Whatever you ask will be given to you. Whatever you want, even to half the kingdom, will be done.’


Once again, on the second day while drinking wine,  the king asked Esther, ‘Queen Esther, whatever you ask will be given to you. Whatever you seek, even to half the kingdom, will be done.’


in all your ways know him, and he will make your paths straight.


Then Jesus answered him, ‘What do you want   me to do for you? ’ ‘Rabboni,’   , the blind man said to him, ‘I want to see.’


The commander took him by the hand, led him aside, and enquired privately, ‘What is it you have to report to me? ’


Don’t worry about anything, but in everything, through prayer and petition with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.
