So Micaiah said: I saw all Israel scattered on the hills like sheep without a shepherd. And the Lord said, ‘They have no master; let everyone return home in peace.’


terror  and dread will fall on them. They will be as still  as a stone because of your powerful arm until your people pass by, Lord, until the people whom you purchased  pass by.


Like wandering gazelles and like sheep without a shepherd, each one will turn to his own people, each one will flee to his own land.


‘Go down and sit in the dust, Virgin Daughter Babylon. Sit on the ground without a throne, Daughter Chaldea! For you will no longer be called pampered and spoilt.


Therefore, this is what the Lord of Armies, the God of Israel, says: I am about to punish the king of Babylon  and his land just as I punished the king of Assyria.


While they are flushed with heat, I will serve them a feast, and I will make them drunk so that they celebrate.  , Then they will fall asleep for ever and never wake up. This is the  Lord’s declaration.


I will make her princes and wise men drunk, along with her governors, officials, and warriors. Then they will fall asleep for ever and never wake up. This is the King’s declaration; the Lord of Armies is his name.


Then the kings of the earth, the nobles, the generals, the rich, the powerful, and every slave and free person hid in the caves and among the rocks of the mountains.
