Raise a signal flag  in the land; blow a ram’s horn among the nations; set apart the nations against her. Summon kingdoms against her – Ararat, Minni, and Ashkenaz. Appoint a marshal against her; bring up horses like a swarm  of locusts.


Foreigners, ruthless men from the nations,  cut it down and left it lying. Its limbs fell on the mountains and in every valley; its boughs lay broken in all the earth’s ravines. All the peoples of the earth left its shade and abandoned it.


‘Plunder the silver! Plunder the gold! ’ There is no end to the treasure, an abundance of every precious thing.


The appearance of the locusts was like horses prepared for battle.  Something like golden crowns was on their heads; their faces were like human faces;
