who abandons the companion of her youth and forgets the covenant of her God;


And you ask, ‘Why? ’ Because even though the Lord has been a witness  between you and the wife of your youth,  you have acted treacherously against her. She was your marriage partner  and your wife by covenant.


‘If he hates  and divorces his wife,’  says the Lord God of Israel, ‘he  covers his garment with injustice,’  says the Lord of Armies. Therefore, watch yourselves carefully,  and do not act treacherously.


and he also said, “For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and the two will become one flesh”?   ,


‘Why then,’ they asked him, ‘did Moses command us to give divorce papers  and to send her away? ’


Therefore what God has joined together, let no one separate.’


For example, a married woman is legally bound to her husband while he lives.  But if her husband dies, she is released from the law regarding the husband.


In the same way, husbands are to love their wives as their own bodies. He who loves his wife loves himself.


Marriage is to be honoured by all and the marriage bed kept undefiled, because God will judge the sexually immoral and adulterers.
