Throw off all the transgressions you have committed, and get yourselves a new heart and a new spirit.  Why should you die, house of Israel?


I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you;  I will remove your heart of stone  and give you a heart of flesh.


‘Either make the tree good and its fruit will be good, or make the tree bad   and its fruit will be bad; for a tree is known by its fruit.


Still other seed fell on good ground and produced fruit: some a hundred, some sixty, and some thirty times what was sown.


The axe is already at the root of the trees. Therefore, every tree that doesn’t produce good fruit will be cut down and thrown into the fire.


Therefore produce fruit  consistent with  repentance.


Truly I tell you,   whoever does not receive   , the kingdom of God like a little child   will never enter it.’


And those like seed sown on good ground hear the word,   welcome it, and produce fruit   thirty, sixty, and a hundred times what was sown.’


Perhaps it will produce fruit next year, but if not, you can cut it down.” ’


But the seed in the good ground #– #these are the ones who, having heard the word with an honest and good heart, hold on to it and by enduring,   produce fruit.


Still other seed fell on good ground; when it grew up, it produced fruit: a hundred times what was sown.’   As he said this, he called out, ‘Let anyone who has ears to hear listen.’


You did not choose me, but I chose you.   I appointed you to go and produce fruit and that your fruit should remain, so that whatever you ask   the Father in my name,   he will give you.


The one who is from God listens to God’s words. This is why you don’t listen, because you are not from God.’


A God-fearing woman named Lydia, a dealer in purple cloth from the city of Thyatira, was listening. The Lord opened her heart to respond to what Paul was saying.


The people here were of more noble character than those in Thessalonica, since they received the word with eagerness and examined  the Scriptures  daily to see if these things were so.


Now the one who provides seed for the sower and bread for food will also provide and multiply your seed and increase the harvest of your righteousness.


filled with the fruit  of righteousness  that comes through Jesus Christ to the glory  and praise of God.


Not that I seek the gift, but I seek the profit  , that is increasing to your account.


so that you may walk worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing to him: bearing fruit in every good work  and growing in the knowledge of God,


that has come to you. It is bearing fruit  and growing all over the world,  just as it has among you since the day you heard it and came to truly appreciate  God’s grace.  ,


Additionally then, brothers and sisters, we ask and encourage you in the Lord Jesus, that as you have received instruction from us on how you should live and please God #– #as you are doing   #– #do this even more.


and with every wicked deception among those who are perishing. They perish because they did not accept the love of the truth and so be saved.


For we also have received the good news just as they did. But the message they heard did not benefit them, since they were not united with those who heard it in faith.  ,


For the ground that drinks the rain that often falls on it and that produces vegetation useful to those for whom it is cultivated receives a blessing from God.


For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, says the Lord: I will put my laws into their minds and write them on their hearts. I will be their God, and they will be my people.


But grow in the grace and knowledge  of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. To him be the glory both now and to the day of eternity.  ,


And we know that the Son of God has come  and has given us understanding so that we may know the true one.  We are in the true one #– #that is, in his Son, Jesus Christ.  He is the true God and eternal life.
