Many who sleep in the dust of the earth will awake, some to eternal life, and some to disgrace and eternal contempt.


‘Leave,’ he said, ‘because the girl is not dead but asleep.’   And they laughed at him.


They came to the leader’s house, and he saw a commotion #– #people weeping and wailing loudly.


They laughed at him, but he put them all outside. He took the child’s father,  mother, and those who were with him, and entered the place where the child was.


But Paul went down, bent over him, embraced him, and said, ‘Don’t be alarmed, because he’s alive.’


This is why many are sick and ill among you, and many have fallen asleep.


who died for us,  so that whether we are awake or asleep,  we may live together with him.
