Other seed fell on rocky ground where it didn’t have much soil, and it grew up quickly since the soil wasn’t deep.


Some are like the word sown on the path.   When they hear, immediately Satan   comes and takes away the word   sown in them.


But they have no root; they are short-lived. When distress   or persecution comes because of the word, they immediately fall away.


because Herod feared  John and protected him, knowing he was a righteous  and holy  man. When Herod heard him he would be very perplexed,  , and yet he liked to listen to him.


And the seed on the rock are those who, when they hear, receive the word with joy. Having no root, these believe for a while and fall away in a time of testing.


John   , was a burning and shining lamp,   and you were willing to rejoice for a while in his light.


Agrippa said to Paul, ‘Are you going to persuade me to become a Christian so easily? ’


Even Simon himself believed. And after he was baptised, he followed Philip everywhere and was amazed as he observed the signs and great miracles  that were being performed.
