Then  he began to teach them, saying:


After  John was arrested,  Jesus went to Galilee,  proclaiming  the good news  ,, of God:


The whole town was assembled at the door,


and when they found him they said, ‘Everyone is looking for you.’


Yet he went out and began to proclaim  it widely and to spread the news,  with the result that Jesus could no longer enter a town openly. But he was out in deserted places, and they came to him from everywhere.


When  he entered Capernaum  again after some days, it was reported that he was at home.


Jesus  went out again beside the sea. The whole crowd was coming to him, and he was teaching  them.


When he went ashore, he saw a large crowd and had compassion  on them, because they were like sheep  without a shepherd. Then he began to teach them many things.


Meanwhile, a crowd of many thousands came together, so that they were trampling  on one another. He began to say to his disciples first,  ‘Be on your guard   against the leaven   , of the Pharisees, which is hypocrisy.


On one of those days while he was teaching, Pharisees and teachers of the law  were sitting there who had come from every village of Galilee and Judea, and also from Jerusalem. And the Lord’s power to heal was in him.


Afterwards he was travelling from one town and village to another,  preaching and telling the good news of the kingdom of God.  The Twelve were with him,


‘This is the meaning of the parable:   The seed is the word of God.


Now those who had been scattered as a result of the persecution that started because of Stephen made their way as far as Phoenicia, Cyprus, and Antioch,  speaking the word to no one except Jews.


After they had spoken the word in Perga, they went down to Attalia.


They went through the region of Phrygia and Galatia; they had been forbidden by the Holy Spirit to speak the word in Asia.


So, after they had testified and spoken the word of the Lord, they travelled back to Jerusalem, preaching the gospel in many villages of the Samaritans.


On the contrary, what does it say? The message is near you, in your mouth and in your heart.   , This is the message of faith that we proclaim:


Preach the word; be ready in season and out of season; correct, rebuke, and encourage with great patience and teaching.
