11 Tagairtí Cros

He was oppressed and afflicted, yet he did not open his mouth. Like a lamb led to the slaughter and like a sheep silent before her shearers, he did not open his mouth.

While he was being accused by the chief priests and elders, he didn’t answer.

So Pilate asked him, ‘Are you the king  of the Jews? ’ He answered him, ‘You say so.’

Pilate  questioned him again, ‘Aren’t you going to answer? Look how many things they are accusing you of! ’

But Jesus still did not answer, and so Pilate was amazed.

From that moment Pilate kept trying  to release him. But the Jews shouted, ‘If you release this man, you are not Caesar’s friend. Anyone who makes himself a king opposes Caesar! ’
