Then he said, ‘Do not lay a hand on the boy or do anything to him. For now I know that you fear God, since you have not withheld your only son from me.’


‘Take your son,’ he said, ‘your only son Isaac, whom you love,  go to the land of Moriah,  and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains I will tell you about.’


Now Israel loved Joseph more than his other sons because Joseph was a son born to him in his old age,  and he made a long-sleeved robe  for him.


and we answered my lord, “We have an elderly father and a younger brother, the child of his old age.  The boy’s brother is dead. He is the only one of his mother’s sons left, and his father loves him.”


‘This  is my servant;  I strengthen him, this is my chosen one;  I delight in him. I have put my Spirit on him; he will bring justice  to the nations.


See, the virgin will become pregnant and give birth to a son, and they will name him Immanuel, which is translated ‘God is with us.’


All things have been entrusted to me by my Father. No one knows the Son except the Father, and no one knows the Father except the Son and anyone to whom the Son desires   to reveal him.


While he was still speaking, suddenly a bright cloud covered  them, and a voice from the cloud said, ‘This is my beloved Son, with whom I am well-pleased. Listen to him! ’


But  Jesus kept silent.  The high priest said to him, ‘I charge you under oath  by the living God: Tell us if you are the Messiah, the Son of God.’


And a voice from heaven said, ‘This is my beloved Son, with whom I am well-pleased.’


And a voice  came from heaven:  ‘You are my beloved  Son;  with you I am well-pleased.’


Then he sent another, and they killed that one. He also sent many others; some they beat, and others they killed.


But those tenant farmers said to one another, “This is the heir. Come, let’s kill him, and the inheritance will be ours.”


A cloud  appeared, overshadowing  them, and a voice  came from the cloud:  ‘This is my beloved  Son;  listen to him! ’


and the Holy Spirit descended on him in a physical appearance like a dove. And a voice came from heaven: ‘You are my beloved Son; with you I am well-pleased.’


Then a voice came from the cloud,  saying, ‘This is my Son,  the Chosen One;  , listen to him! ’


The Word  became flesh  and dwelt  among us. We observed his glory,  the glory as the one and only  Son  from the Father, full of grace and truth.


No one has ever seen God. The one and only  Son, who is himself God and is at the Father’s  side   #– #he has revealed him.


I have seen and testified that this is the Son of God.’  ,


‘Rabbi,’  Nathanael replied, ‘You are the Son  of God; you are the King of Israel! ’


The Father loves the Son  and has given all things into his hands.


so that all people may honour the Son just as they honour the Father.   Anyone who does not honour the Son does not honour the Father who sent him.


Again, when he  brings his firstborn into the world,  he says, And let all God’s angels worship him.   ,


God’s love was revealed among us  in this way: God sent  his one and only Son  into the world so that we might live  through him.
