‘I am going to send an angel  before you to protect you on the way and bring you to the place I have prepared.


Be attentive to him and listen to him. Do not defy him, because he will not forgive your acts of rebellion, for my name is in him.


See, the Lord God comes with strength, and his power establishes his rule. His wages are with him, and his reward accompanies him.


In all their suffering, he suffered,  , and the angel of his presence saved them. He redeemed them because of his love and compassion; he lifted them up and carried them all the days of the past.


Therefore, the Lord himself will give you  a sign: See, the virgin will conceive,  have a son, and name him Immanuel.  ,


For a child will be born for us, a son will be given to us, and the government will be on his shoulders. He will be named Wonderful Counsellor,  Mighty God, Eternal Father,  Prince of Peace.


Then Haggai, the Lord’s messenger, delivered the Lord’s message to the people: ‘I am with you   #– #this is the Lord’s declaration.’


Then you will know that I sent you this decree, so that my covenant with Levi  may continue,’ says the Lord of Armies.


For the lips of a priest should guard knowledge, and people should desire instruction from his mouth, because he is the messenger of the Lord of Armies.


Look, I am going to send you the prophet Elijah  before the great and terrible day of the Lord comes.


And if you’re willing to accept it, he is the Elijah who is to come.


And you, child, will be called a prophet of the Most High, for you will go before the Lord to prepare his ways,


Every day he was teaching  in the temple. The chief priests, the scribes, and the leaders of the people were looking for a way to kill  him,


Today in the city of David a Saviour  was born for you, who is the Messiah,  the Lord.


At that very moment,  she came up and began to thank God and to speak about him to all who were looking forward to the redemption of Jerusalem.  ,


After three days, they found him in the temple sitting among the teachers, listening to them and asking them questions.


Paul said, ‘John baptised with a baptism of repentance,  telling the people that they should believe in the one who would come after him, that is, in Jesus.’


He is the one who was in the assembly in the wilderness, with the angel who spoke to him on Mount Sinai, and with our ancestors.  He received living oracles to give to us.
