But Micaiah said, ‘If you ever return safely, the Lord has not spoken through me.’  Then he said, ‘Listen, all you people! ’  ,


I will be partial to no one, and I will not give anyone an undeserved title.


The remembrance of the righteous is a blessing, but the name of the wicked will rot.


A man is praised for his insight, but a twisted mind is despised.


I will also tear off your veils and rescue my people from your hands,  so that they will no longer be prey in your hands. Then you will know that I am the Lord.


Disaster after disaster will come, and there will be rumour after rumour. Then they will look for a vision from a prophet, but instruction will perish from the priests and counsel from the elders.


Her leaders issue rulings for a bribe, her priests teach for payment, and her prophets practise divination for silver. Yet they lean on the  Lord, saying, ‘Isn’t the Lord   among us? No disaster will overtake us.’


I will throw filth on you and treat you with contempt; I will make a spectacle of you.


‘Look, I am going to rebuke your descendants,  and I will spread animal waste  over your faces, the waste from your festival sacrifices,  and you will be taken away with it.


‘You, on the other hand, have turned from the way.  You have caused many to stumble  by your instruction. You have violated  the covenant of Levi,’ says the Lord of Armies.


But wanting to justify himself,  he asked Jesus, ‘And who is my neighbour? ’


‘But woe   to you Pharisees! You give a tenth   , of mint, rue, and every kind of herb, and you bypass   justice   and love for God.   , These things you should have done without neglecting the others.


Now from those recognised as important (what they  once were makes no difference to me; God does not show favouritism  ,) #– #they added nothing to me.


Do not show partiality when deciding a case;  listen to small and great alike. Do not be intimidated by anyone, for judgement belongs to God.  Bring me any case too difficult for you, and I will hear it.


‘Therefore, this is the declaration of the Lord, the God of Israel: “I did say that your family and your forefather’s family would walk before me for ever.  But now,” this is the Lord’s declaration, “no longer! For those who honour me I will honour,  but those who despise me will be disgraced.
