When there is famine in the land, when there is pestilence, when there is blight or mildew, locust or grasshopper, when their enemy besieges them in the land and its cities, when there is any plague or illness,


‘But when the priest comes and examines it, if the contamination has not spread in the house after it was replastered, he is to pronounce the house clean because the contamination has disappeared.


Now Jesus began to go all over Galilee,  teaching in their synagogues, preaching the good news of the kingdom, and healing every  disease and sickness  among the people.


Then the news about him spread throughout Syria.  So they brought to him all those who were afflicted, those suffering from various diseases and intense pains, the demon-possessed, the epileptics, and the paralytics.  And he healed them.


Since he had healed  many, all who had diseases were pressing towards him to touch  him.


Instantly her flow of blood ceased, and she sensed in her body that she was healed  of her affliction.


‘Daughter,’ he said to her, ‘your faith   has saved you.   Go in peace and be healed   from your affliction.’


When the men reached him, they said, ‘John the Baptist sent us to ask you, “Are you the one who is to come, or should we expect someone else? ” ’


for the Lord disciplines the one he loves and punishes every son he receives.   ,
