They struck the men who were at the entrance of the house, both young and old, with blindness  so that they were unable to find the entrance.


The lamp that guides the wicked – haughty eyes and an arrogant heart   #– #is sin.


A greedy one  is in a hurry for wealth; he doesn’t know that poverty will come to him.


For the Lord has poured out on you an overwhelming urge to   sleep; he has shut your eyes (the prophets) and covered your heads (the seers).


Who is blind but my servant, or deaf like my messenger I am sending? Who is blind like my dedicated one, or blind like the servant of the  Lord?


Such people  do not comprehend and cannot understand, for he has shut their eyes  so that they cannot see, and their minds so that they cannot understand.


Woe to those who call evil good and good evil, who substitute darkness for light and light for darkness, who substitute bitter for sweet and sweet for bitter.


Make the minds  of these people dull; deafen their ears and blind their eyes; otherwise they might see with their eyes and hear with their ears, understand with their minds, turn back, and be healed.


Hear this, you foolish and senseless   people. They have eyes, but they don’t see. They have ears, but they don’t hear.


so that they may indeed look, and yet not perceive; they may indeed listen, and yet not understand; otherwise, they might turn back and be forgiven.’   ,,


adulteries,   greed,   evil actions, deceit,   self-indulgence,   envy,   slander,   pride,   and foolishness.


Do you have eyes and not see; do you have ears and not hear?   , And do you not remember?


Take care, then, that the light in you is not darkness.


Now, look, the Lord’s hand is against you.  You are going to be blind, and will not see the sun for a time.’ Immediately a mist and darkness fell on him, and he went around seeking someone to lead him by the hand.

Indeed, this is our boast: The testimony  of our conscience  is that we have conducted ourselves in the world, and especially towards you, with godly sincerity and purity, not by human wisdom  but by God’s grace.


But I fear that, as the serpent  deceived  Eve  by his cunning, your minds may be seduced from a sincere and pure  devotion to Christ.


In their case, the god of this age  has blinded the minds of the unbelievers to keep them from seeing the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ,  , who is the image of God.


I pray that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the glorious Father,  would give you the Spirit  , of wisdom and revelation  in the knowledge of him.


Slaves, obey your human  masters  with fear and trembling,  in the sincerity  of your heart, as you would Christ.


Slaves, obey your human  masters in everything. Don’t work only while being watched, as people-pleasers, but work wholeheartedly, fearing the Lord.
