‘Yes,’ he said. When he went into the house, Jesus spoke to him first,  ‘What do you think, Simon? From whom do earthly kings collect tariffs or taxes? From their sons or from strangers? ’   ,


‘What do you think about the Messiah? Whose son is he? ’ They replied, ‘David’s.’


The next day   he took out two denarii,   gave them to the innkeeper, and said, “Take care of him. When I come back I’ll reimburse you for whatever extra you spend.”


‘The one who showed mercy  to him,’ he said. Then Jesus told him, ‘Go and do the same.’


Since they could not pay it back,   he graciously forgave them both. So, which of them will love him more? ’
