Your servant has indeed found favour with you, and you have shown me great kindness by saving my life. But I can’t run to the mountains; the disaster will overtake me, and I will die.


Sarah said, ‘God has made me laugh, and everyone who hears will laugh with me.’  ,


Let your father and mother have joy, and let her who gave birth to you rejoice.


There will be joy and delight for you, and many will rejoice at his birth.


‘The Lord has done this for me. He has looked with favour in these days to take away my disgrace  among the people.’


Now the time had come for Elizabeth to give birth, and she had a son.


He also said to the one who had invited him, ‘When you give a lunch or a dinner, don’t invite your friends, your brothers or sisters, your relatives, or your rich neighbours, because they might invite you back, and you would be repaid.


Rejoice with those who rejoice;  weep with those who weep.


So if one member suffers, all the members suffer with it; if one member is honoured, all the members rejoice with it.
