Lamentations 3:26
24 Tagairtí Cros

I wait for your salvation, Lord.

You do not have to fight this battle. Position yourselves, stand still, and see the salvation of the Lord.  He is with you, Judah and Jerusalem. Do not be afraid or discouraged.  Tomorrow, go out to face them, for the Lord is with you.” ’

But Moses said to the people, ‘Don’t be afraid. Stand firm and see  the Lord’s salvation that he will accomplish for you today; for the Egyptians you see today, you will never see again.

The Lord will fight for you, and you must be quiet.’

For the Lord God, the Holy One of Israel, has said: ‘You will be delivered by returning and resting; your strength will lie in quiet confidence. But you are not willing.’

Egypt’s help is completely worthless; therefore, I call her: Rahab Who Just Sits.

Say to him: Calm down and be quiet. Don’t be afraid or cowardly  because of these two smouldering sticks, the fierce anger of Rezin and Aram, and the son of Remaliah.

Can any of the worthless idols of the nations  bring rain? Or can the skies alone give showers? Are you not the  Lord our God? We therefore put our hope in you, for you have done all these things.

It is good for a man to bear the yoke while he is still young.

For the vision is yet for the appointed time; it testifies about the end and will not lie. Though it delays, wait for it, since it will certainly come and not be late.

But it is always good to be pursued  in a good manner #– #and not just when I am with you.

So don’t throw away your confidence, which has a great reward.

For we have become participants in Christ if we hold firmly until the end the reality  that we had at the start.

Therefore, with your minds ready for action,  be sober-minded  and set your hope  completely on the grace to be brought to you at the revelation  of Jesus Christ.
