Remember, I’ll wait at the fords  of the wilderness until word comes from you to inform me.’


Here is how you must eat it: You must be dressed for travel,  your sandals on your feet, and your staff in your hand. You are to eat it in a hurry; it is the Lord’s Passover.


You are to eat unleavened bread in the first month,  from the evening of the fourteenth day of the month until the evening of the twenty-first day.


You are to keep it until the fourteenth day of this month; then the whole assembly of the community of Israel will slaughter the animals at twilight.


However, the Chaldean army pursued them and overtook Zedekiah in the plains of Jericho. They arrested him and brought him up to Nebuchadnezzar, Babylon’s king, at Riblah in the land of Hamath. The king passed sentence on him there.


‘Now you, son of man, get your bags ready for exile and go into exile in their sight during the day. You will go into exile from your place to another place while they watch; perhaps they will understand, though they are a rebellious house.


The Passover  to the Lord comes in the first month, at twilight on the fourteenth day of the month.


My people, remember what King Balak of Moab   proposed, what Balaam son of Beor answered him, and what happened from the Acacia Grove  , to Gilgal, so that you may acknowledge the Lord’s righteous acts.


The people came up from the Jordan on the tenth day of the first month,  and camped at Gilgal on the eastern limits of Jericho.


The day after Passover they ate unleavened bread and roasted grain from the produce of the land.


They went to Joshua in the camp at Gilgal and said to him and the men of Israel, ‘We have come from a distant land. Please make a treaty with us.’


Every year he would go on a circuit to Bethel, Gilgal, and Mizpah and would judge Israel at all these locations.
