Guard your heart above all else, for it is the source of life.


‘Be on your guard,   so that your minds are not dulled   from carousing,   drunkenness,   and worries of life,   or that day will come on you unexpectedly


We know that all things work together  for the good  of those who love God, who are called according to his purpose.


If anyone does not love the Lord, a curse be on him. Our Lord, come!


But if anyone loves God,  he is known  by him.


Pay careful attention, then, to how you walk #– #not as unwise people but as wise #– #


For  I am commanding you today to love the Lord your God, to walk in his ways, and to keep his commands, statutes, and ordinances, so that you may live  and multiply, and the Lord your God may bless you in the land you are entering to possess.

‘Only be on your guard and diligently watch yourselves,  so that you don’t forget  the things your eyes have seen and so that they don’t slip from your mind  as long as you live. Teach them to your children and your grandchildren.


Make sure that no one falls short of the grace of God and that no root of bitterness springs up, causing trouble and defiling many.


Only carefully obey the command and instruction that Moses the Lord’s servant gave you: to love the Lord your God, walk in all his ways, keep his commands, be loyal to him, and serve him with all your heart and all your soul.’


One of you routed a thousand  because the Lord your God was fighting for you, as he promised.  ,


If you ever turn away and become loyal to the rest of these nations remaining among you,  and if you intermarry or associate with them  and they with you,
