Leah’s sons were Reuben (Jacob’s firstborn), Simeon, Levi, Judah, Issachar, and Zebulun.


These are the heads of their fathers’ families: The sons of Reuben,  the firstborn of Israel: Hanoch and Pallu, Hezron and Carmi. These are the clans of Reuben.


Next to the territory of Ephraim, from the east side to the west, will be Reuben #– #one portion.


He did not, however, give any inheritance to the tribe of Levi. This was their inheritance, just as he had promised: the food offerings made to the Lord, the God of Israel.
