Joshua 10:11 - Christian Standard Bible Anglicised

11 As they fled before Israel, the Lord threw large hailstones on them  from the sky along the descent of Beth-horon all the way to Azekah, and they died. More of them died from the hail than the Israelites killed with the sword.

Then out of the sky the Lord rained on Sodom and Gomorrah burning sulphur from the Lord.


The battle spread over the entire area, and that day the forest claimed more people than the sword.


Have you entered the place where the snow is stored? Or have you seen the storehouses of hail,


which I hold in reserve for times of trouble, for the day of warfare and battle?


Look, the Lord has a strong and mighty one   – like a devastating hailstorm, like a storm with strong flooding water. He will bring it across the land with his hand.


For the Lord will rise up as he did at Mount Perazim. He will rise in wrath, as at the Valley of Gibeon, to do his work, his unexpected work, and to perform his task, his unfamiliar task.


And the Lord will make the splendour of his voice heard and reveal his arm   striking in angry wrath and a flame of consuming fire, in driving rain, a torrent, and hailstones.


therefore, tell those plastering it with whitewash that it will fall. Torrential rain will come,  and I will send hailstones plunging  down, and a whirlwind will be released.


For the Lord your God is the one who goes with you to fight for you  against your enemies to give you victory.”


Then the temple of God in heaven was opened, and the ark of his covenant  appeared in his temple. There were flashes of lightning, rumblings and peals of thunder,  an earthquake,  and severe hail.


Enormous hailstones, each weighing about fifty kilograms,  fell from the sky on people, and they blasphemed God  for the plague of hail because that plague was extremely severe.


The stars fought from the heavens; the stars fought with Sisera from their paths.
