I do not call you servants any more, because a servant doesn’t know what his master   , is doing. I have called you friends, because I have made known to you everything I have heard from my Father.


‘I still have many things to tell you, but you can’t bear them now.


because I have given them the words you gave me.   They have received them and have known for certain that I came from you.   They have believed that you sent me.


‘I have spoken openly to the world,’ Jesus answered him. ‘I have always taught in the synagogue   and in the temple,   where all the Jews gather, and I haven’t spoken anything in secret.


‘Truly I tell you,   we speak what we know and we testify to what we have seen, but you do not accept our testimony.


Jesus answered them, ‘My teaching isn’t mine but is from the one who sent me.


As he was teaching in the temple,  Jesus cried out, ‘You know me and you know where I am from. Yet I have not come on my own, but the one who sent me   is true. You don’t know him;


‘Who are you? ’ they questioned. ‘Exactly what I’ve been telling you from the very beginning,’ Jesus told them.


They did not know he was speaking to them about the Father.


But now you are trying to kill me, a man who has told you the truth   that I heard from God. Abraham did not do this.


As God is faithful,  our message to you is not ‘Yes and no’.
