Simon the Zealot,  and Judas Iscariot, who also betrayed him.


But you don’t believe because you are not of my sheep.   ,


Then Jesus, knowing everything that was about to happen to him,  went out and said to them, ‘Who is it that you’re seeking? ’


but I know you #– #that you have no love for God   within you.


But as I told you, you’ve seen me,   and yet you do not believe.


Therefore, when many of his disciples heard this, they said, ‘This teaching is hard. Who can accept  it? ’


Jesus, knowing in himself  that his disciples were grumbling about this, asked them, ‘Does this offend you?


From that moment  many of his disciples turned back and no longer accompanied him.


‘You are from below,’ he told them, ‘I am from above.   You are of this world;   I am not of this world.


You do not know him, but I know him. If I were to say I don’t know him,   I would be a liar like you. But I do know him,   and I keep his word.


For those he foreknew he also predestined  to be conformed to the image of his Son,  so that he would be the firstborn among many brothers and sisters.


Nevertheless, God’s solid foundation stands firm, bearing this inscription:  The Lord knows those who are his,   , and let everyone who calls on the name  of  the Lord turn away from wickedness.


No creature is hidden from him, but all things are naked and exposed to the eyes of him to whom  we must give an account.
