As the Lord your God lives, there is no nation or kingdom where my lord has not sent someone to search for you. When they said, “He is not here,” he made that kingdom or nation swear they had not found you.


But I said, ‘Should a man like me run away? How can someone like me enter the temple and live?  I will not go.’


The wicked flee when no one is pursuing them, but the righteous are as bold as a lion.


From  then on Jesus began to point out to his disciples that it was necessary for him to go to Jerusalem and suffer many things from the elders, chief priests, and scribes, be killed, and be raised the third day.


‘You know   that the Passover takes place after two days, and the Son of Man will be handed over to be crucified.’


While they were eating, he said, ‘Truly I tell you, one of you will betray me.’


Then Jesus said to them, ‘Tonight all of you will fall away because of me, for it is written: I will strike the shepherd, and the sheep of the flock will be scattered.   ,


He told them, ‘These are my words   that I spoke to you while I was still with you #– #that everything written about me in the Law of Moses, the Prophets,   and the Psalms   must be fulfilled.’


Before the Passover Festival, Jesus knew that his hour had come to depart from this world to the Father.  Having loved his own who were in the world,  he loved them to the end.


For he knew who would betray him. This is why he said, ‘Not all of you are clean.’


‘Jesus of Nazareth,’ they answered. ‘I am he,’   Jesus told them. Judas, who betrayed him, was also standing with them.


Then he asked them again, ‘Who is it that you’re seeking? ’ ‘Jesus of Nazareth,’ they said.


After  this, when Jesus knew that everything was now finished  that the Scripture might be fulfilled, he said, ‘I’m thirsty.’


But there are some among you who don’t believe.’ (For Jesus knew from the beginning  those who did not  believe and the one who would betray  him.)


You have revealed the paths of life to me; you will fill me with gladness in your presence.   ,


Therefore, since Christ suffered  in the flesh, arm yourselves also with the same understanding   #– #because the one who suffers in the flesh is finished  with sin   #– #
