‘At that time the kingdom of heaven will be like ten virgins   who took their lamps   and went out to meet the groom.


Now when it was time for supper, the devil  had already put it into the heart of Judas,  Simon Iscariot’s son,  to betray  him.


Then the company of soldiers, the commander, and the Jewish officials arrested Jesus and tied him up.


Now the servants and the officials had made a charcoal fire, because it was cold. They were standing there warming themselves, and Peter was standing with them, warming himself.


When he had said these things, one of the officials standing by slapped Jesus, saying, ‘Is this the way you answer the high priest? ’


When the chief priests and the temple servants  saw him, they shouted, ‘Crucify! Crucify! ’ Pilate responded, ‘Take him and crucify him yourselves, since I find no grounds for charging him.’


The Pharisees  heard the crowd murmuring these things about him, and so the chief priests  and the Pharisees sent servants  to arrest him.


‘Brothers and sisters, it was necessary that the Scripture be fulfilled that the Holy Spirit, through the mouth of David, foretold about Judas, who became a guide to those who arrested Jesus.


There was a man in Caesarea named Cornelius, a centurion of what was called the Italian Regiment.
