You will be hated by everyone because of my name.   But the one who endures to the end will be saved.


‘Then they will hand you over to be persecuted, and they will kill you. You will be hated by all nations because of my name.


If you love those who love you, what credit is that to you? Even sinners love those who love them.


‘I’m not speaking about all of you; I know those I have chosen.   But the Scripture   must be fulfilled:   The one who eats my bread   has raised his heel against me.   ,


You did not choose me, but I chose you.   I appointed you to go and produce fruit and that your fruit should remain, so that whatever you ask   the Father in my name,   he will give you.


Jesus replied to them, ‘Didn’t I choose you, the Twelve?   Yet one of you is a devil.’


You adulterous people!  Don’t you know that friendship with the world is hostility towards God? So whoever wants to be the friend of the world becomes the enemy of God.


For there has already been enough time spent in doing what the Gentiles choose to do: carrying on in unrestrained behaviour, evil desires,  drunkenness, orgies,  carousing, and lawless idolatry.


unlike Cain,  who was of the evil one  and murdered his brother. And why did he murder him? Because his deeds were evil, and his brother’s were righteous.


So the dragon was furious with the woman and went off to wage war  against the rest of her offspring  ,  #– #those who keep the commands of God  and hold firmly to the testimony about Jesus.


So the great dragon was thrown out #– #the ancient serpent,  who is called the devil and Satan,  the one who deceives the whole world.  He was thrown to earth, and his angels with him.
