While they were eating, he said, ‘Truly I tell you, one of you will betray me.’


He replied, ‘The one who dipped his hand with me in the bowl #– #he will betray me.


When  evening came, he arrived with the Twelve.


While they were reclining and eating, Jesus said, ‘Truly I tell you, one of you will betray me #– #one who is eating with me.’


He said to them, ‘It is one of the Twelve #– #the one who is dipping bread in the bowl with me.


But   look, the hand of the one betraying me is at the table with me.


When  Jesus had said this, he was troubled in his spirit  and testified,  ‘Truly I tell you, one of you will betray me.’


The disciples started looking at one another #– #uncertain which one he was speaking about.


Jesus replied, ‘He’s the one I give the piece of bread to after I have dipped it.’   When he had dipped the bread,  he gave it to Judas, Simon Iscariot’s son.


You did not choose me, but I chose you.   I appointed you to go and produce fruit and that your fruit should remain, so that whatever you ask   the Father in my name,   he will give you.


If you were of the world, the world would love you as its own. However, because you are not of the world, but I have chosen   you out of it, the world hates you.


But this happened so that the statement written in their law might be fulfilled:   They hated me for no reason.   ,


While I was with them, I was protecting them by your name that you have given me. I guarded   them and not one of them is lost, except the son of destruction,   so that the Scripture   may be fulfilled.


They said this so that Jesus’s words might be fulfilled indicating what kind of death he was going to die.


So they said to one another, ‘Let’s not tear it, but cast lots for it, to see who gets it.’ This happened that the Scripture  might be fulfilled  that says: They divided my clothes among themselves, and they cast lots for my clothing.   , This is what the soldiers did.


For these things happened so that the Scripture would be fulfilled:  Not one of his bones will be broken.   ,


He asked him the third time, ‘Simon, son of John, do you love   me? ’ Peter was grieved  that he asked him the third time, ‘Do you love me? ’ He said, ‘Lord, you know everything;  you know that I love you.’ ‘Feed   my sheep,’ Jesus said.


Jesus replied to them, ‘Didn’t I choose you, the Twelve?   Yet one of you is a devil.’


‘Brothers and sisters, it was necessary that the Scripture be fulfilled that the Holy Spirit, through the mouth of David, foretold about Judas, who became a guide to those who arrested Jesus.


until the day he was taken up, after he had given instructions through the Holy Spirit to the apostles he had chosen.


For we are not proclaiming ourselves but Jesus Christ as Lord,  and ourselves as your servants for Jesus’s sake.


No creature is hidden from him, but all things are naked and exposed to the eyes of him to whom  we must give an account.


I will strike her children dead.   , Then all the churches will know that I am the one who examines minds and hearts,   and I will give to each of you according to your works.
