35 Jesus answered, ‘The light will be with you only a little longer.   Walk while you have the light   so that darkness doesn’t overtake you.   The one who walks in darkness doesn’t know where he’s going.

But the way of the wicked is like the darkest gloom; they don’t know what makes them stumble.


House of Jacob, come and let’s walk in the  Lord’s light.


Therefore, their way will seem like slippery paths in the gloom. They will be driven away and fall down there, for I will bring disaster on them, the year of their punishment. This is the  Lord’s declaration.


‘Jesus of Nazareth  is passing by,’ they told him.


But if anyone walks during the night,   he does stumble, because the light is not in him.’


‘Aren’t there twelve hours in a day? ’ Jesus answered. ‘If anyone walks during the day, he doesn’t stumble, because he sees the light of this world.


While you have the light,   believe in the light so that you may become children of light.’ Jesus said this, then went away and hid from them.


I have come as light into the world, so that everyone who believes in me would not remain in darkness.


‘In a little while,   you will no longer see me;   again in a little while, you will see me.’


Then Jesus said, ‘I am only with you for a short time.   Then I’m going to the one who sent me.


Jesus spoke to them again: ‘I am   the light   of the world. Anyone who follows me will never walk in the darkness but will have the light of life.’


but their minds were hardened.  For to this day, at the reading of the old covenant,  the same veil remains; it is not lifted, because it is set aside only in Christ.


Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us work  for the good  of all, especially for those who belong to the household  of faith.


For you were once darkness, but now you are light  in the Lord. Walk as children of light   #– #
