the joy of the wicked has been brief and the happiness of the godless has lasted only a moment?


Does papyrus grow where there is no marsh? Do reeds flourish without water?


Such is the destiny  of all who forget God; the hope of the godless  will perish.


The channels will stink; they will dwindle, and Egypt’s canals will be parched. Reed and rush will wilt.


He will be like a juniper in the Arabah; he cannot see when good comes but dwells in the parched places in the wilderness, in a salt land where no one lives.


And the one sown on rocky ground #– #this is one who hears the word and immediately receives it with joy.


For All flesh is like grass, and all its glory   like a flower of the grass. The grass withers, and the flower falls,
