For he looks to the ends of the earth and sees everything under the heavens.


when he established a limit  for the rain and a path for the lightning,


He saturates clouds with moisture; he scatters his lightning through them.


They swirl about, turning round and round at his direction, accomplishing everything he commands them over the surface of the inhabited world.


Then there comes a roaring sound; God thunders  with his majestic voice. He does not restrain the lightning when his rumbling voice is heard.


so it may seize the edges of the earth and shake the wicked out of it?


Can you send out lightning   bolts, and they go? Do they report to you, ‘Here we are’?


He will lift up a banner for the nations and gather the dispersed of Israel; he will collect the scattered of Judah from the four corners of the earth.


For as the lightning comes from the east and flashes as far as the west, so will be the coming of the Son of Man.


Then the temple of God in heaven was opened, and the ark of his covenant  appeared in his temple. There were flashes of lightning, rumblings and peals of thunder,  an earthquake,  and severe hail.
