Like wild donkeys in the wilderness, the poor go out to their task of foraging for food; the desert provides nourishment for their children.


What use to me was the strength of their hands? Their vigour had left them.


They plucked mallow  , among the shrubs, and the roots of the broom tree were their food.


He was driven away from people,  his mind was like an animal’s, he lived with the wild donkeys,  he was fed grass like cattle, and his body was drenched with dew from the sky until he acknowledged that the Most High God is ruler over human kingdoms and sets anyone he wants over them.


The world was not worthy of them. They wandered in deserts and on mountains, hiding in caves and holes in the ground.
