singing to the tambourine and lyre and rejoicing at the sound of the flute.


One person dies in excellent health, completely secure  and at ease.


They were snatched away before their time, and their foundations  were washed away by a river.


As dry ground and heat snatch away the melted snow, so Sheol  steals those who have sinned.


They are exalted for a moment, then gone; they are brought low and shrivel up like everything else. They wither like ears of corn.


Now I would certainly be lying down in peace; I would be asleep. Then I would be at rest


If they listen and serve him, they will end their days in prosperity and their years in happiness.


Whatever your hands find to do, do with all your strength,  because there is no work, planning, knowledge, or wisdom  in Sheol where you are going.


Then ten thousand fit young men from all Israel made a frontal assault against Gibeah, and the battle was fierce, but the Benjaminites did not know that disaster was about to strike them.
