‘Your hands shaped me and formed me. Will you now turn and destroy me?


Be quiet,  and I will speak. Let whatever comes happen to me.


Only grant these two things to me, God, so that I will not have to hide from your presence:


If you really want to appear superior  to me and would use my disgrace as evidence against me,


But if you have something to say,  answer me; speak, for I would like to justify you.


Therefore I will not restrain my mouth. I will speak in the anguish of my spirit; I will complain in the bitterness of my soul.


Why not forgive my sin and pardon my iniquity? For soon I will lie down in the grave. You will eagerly seek me, but I will be gone.


If one wanted to take   him to court, he could not answer God  once in a thousand times.


In truth, the Lord God will help me; who will condemn me? Indeed, all of them will wear out like a garment; a moth will devour them.


I say, ‘I won’t mention him or speak any longer in his name.’ But his message becomes a fire burning in my heart, shut up in my bones. I become tired of holding it in, and I cannot prevail.


Who can bring an accusation against God’s elect?  God is the one who justifies.
