24 But the one who boasts should boast in this: that he understands and knows me   – that I am the Lord, showing faithful love, justice, and righteousness on the earth, for I delight in these things. This is the  Lord’s declaration.

Those who made Cush their hope and Egypt their boast will be dismayed and ashamed.


You will winnow them and a wind will carry them away, a whirlwind will scatter them. But you will rejoice in the  Lord; you will boast in the Holy One of Israel.


All the descendants of Israel will be justified and boast in the  Lord.


For I the Lord love justice; I hate robbery and injustice; I will faithfully reward my people and make a permanent covenant  with them.


He took up the case of the poor and needy; then it went well. Is this not what it means to know me? This is the  Lord’s declaration.


then you can swear, ‘As the  Lord  lives,’ in truth,  justice, and righteousness, and then the nations will be blessed  by him and will boast in him.


Mankind, he has told each of you what is good and what it is the  Lord requires of you: to act justly, to love faithfulness, and to walk humbly with your God.


Who is a God like you, forgiving iniquity and passing over rebellion for the remnant of his inheritance? He does not hold on to his anger for ever because he delights in faithful love.

But as for me, I will never boast about anything except the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ. The world has been crucified to me through the cross, and I to the world.


For we are the circumcision,  the ones who worship by the Spirit  of God, boast in Christ Jesus,  and do not put confidence in the flesh #– #


And we know that the Son of God has come  and has given us understanding so that we may know the true one.  We are in the true one #– #that is, in his Son, Jesus Christ.  He is the true God and eternal life.


Then Samuel said: Does the Lord   take pleasure in burnt offerings and sacrifices as much as in obeying the  Lord? Look: to obey is better than sacrifice, to pay attention is better than the fat of rams.
