But when God is silent, who can declare him guilty? When he hides his face, who can see him? Yet he watches over both individuals and nations,


For he wounds but he also bandages; he strikes, but his hands also heal.


He said, ‘If you will carefully obey the Lord your God, do what is right in his sight, pay attention to his commands, and keep all his statutes, I will not inflict any illnesses on you that I inflicted on the Egyptians. For I am the Lord who heals you.’


From the sole of the foot even to the head, no spot is uninjured   – wounds, welts, and festering sores not cleansed, bandaged, or soothed with oil.


He saw that there was no man – he was amazed that there was no one interceding; so his own arm brought salvation, and his own righteousness supported him.


Have you completely rejected Judah? Do you detest   Zion? Why do you strike us with no hope of healing for us? We hoped for peace, but there was nothing good; for a time of healing, but there was only terror.


Heal me, Lord, and I will be healed; save me, and I will be saved, for you are my praise.


But I will bring you health and will heal you of your wounds – this is the  Lord’s declaration – for they call you Outcast, Zion whom no one cares about.


Yet I will certainly bring health  and healing to it and will indeed heal them. I will let them experience the abundance  of true peace.


Go up to Gilead and get balm, Virgin Daughter Egypt! You have multiplied remedies in vain; there is no healing for you.


As a well gushes out its water, so she pours out her evil. Violence and destruction  resound in her. Sickness and wounds keep coming to my attention.


Is there no balm in Gilead? Is there no physician there? So why has the healing of my dear people not come about?


What can I say on your behalf? What can I compare you to, Daughter Jerusalem? What can I liken you to, so that I may console you, Virgin Daughter Zion? For your ruin is as vast as the sea. Who can heal you?


I searched for a man among them who would repair the wall  and stand in the gap before me on behalf of the land so that I might not destroy it,  but I found no one.


‘Son of man, I have broken the arm  of Pharaoh king of Egypt. Look, it has not been bandaged #– #no medicine has been applied and no splint put on to bandage it so that it can grow strong enough to handle a sword.


I will heal their apostasy; I will freely love them, for my anger will have turned from him.


Come, let’s return to the  Lord. For he has torn us, and he will heal us; he has wounded us, and he will bind up our wounds.


There is no remedy for your injury; your wound is severe. All who hear the news about you will clap their hands because of you, for who has not experienced your constant cruelty?


See now that I alone am he; there is no God but me. I bring death and I give life; I wound and I heal. No one can rescue anyone from my power.


He himself bore our sins  in his body  on the tree;  so that, having died to sins,  we might live for righteousness.  By his wounds   , you have been healed.


My little children, I am writing these things to you so that you may not sin. But if anyone does sin, we have an advocate  with the Father #– #Jesus Christ the righteous one.
