Guard your heart above all else, for it is the source of life.

Happy is the person who does this, the son of man who holds it fast, who keeps the Sabbath without desecrating it, and keeps his hand from doing any evil.

‘If you avoid desecrating the Sabbath, from doing whatever you want on my holy day; if you call the Sabbath a delight, and the holy day of the  Lord  honourable; if you honour it, not going your own ways, seeking your own pleasure, or talking business;  ,

Be on guard for yourselves and for all the flock  of which the Holy Spirit has appointed you as overseers,  to shepherd the church of God,  which he purchased with his own blood.

Be careful not to forget the covenant of the Lord your God that he made with you, and make an idol for yourselves in the shape of anything he has forbidden you.

‘Only be on your guard and diligently watch yourselves,  so that you don’t forget  the things your eyes have seen and so that they don’t slip from your mind  as long as you live. Teach them to your children and your grandchildren.

So diligently watch yourselves! Love the Lord your God!
