Which of the two did his father’s will? ’ They said, ‘The first.’ Jesus said to them, ‘Truly I tell you, tax collectors and prostitutes are entering the kingdom of God before you.


and Jason has welcomed them. They are all acting contrary to Caesar’s decrees,  saying that there is another king #– #Jesus.’


By faith Rahab the prostitute welcomed the spies in peace and didn’t perish with those who disobeyed.


But someone will say, ‘You have faith, and I have works.’  Show me your faith without works, and I will show you faith by my works.


You see that faith was active together with his works, and by works, faith was made complete,


You see that a person is justified by works and not by faith alone.


Joshua son of Nun secretly sent two men as spies  from the Acacia Grove,  saying, ‘Go and scout the land, especially Jericho.’ So they left, and they came to the house of a prostitute named Rahab,  and stayed there.


Then she let them down by a rope through the window, since she lived in a house that was built into the wall of the city.


‘Go to the hill country so that the men pursuing you won’t find you,’ she said to them. ‘Hide there for three days until they return; afterwards, go on your way.’


But the woman had taken the two men and hidden them.  So she said, ‘Yes, the men did come to me, but I didn’t know where they were from.


But she had taken them up to the roof and hidden them  among the stalks of flax that she had arranged on the roof.


But the city and everything in it are set apart to the Lord for destruction.  Only Rahab the prostitute and everyone with her in the house will live,  because she hid the messengers we sent.
