Go out, young women of Zion, and gaze at King Solomon, wearing the crown his mother placed on him on the day of his wedding   – the day of his heart’s rejoicing.


When he has swallowed up death once and for all, the Lord God will wipe away the tears from every face and remove his people’s disgrace from the whole earth, for the Lord has spoken.


For people will live on Zion in Jerusalem. You will never weep again; he will show favour to you at the sound of your outcry; as soon as he hears, he will answer you.


and the ransomed of the  Lord will return and come to Zion with singing, crowned with unending joy. Joy and gladness will overtake them, and sorrow and sighing will flee.

Their life will be like an irrigated garden, and they will no longer grow weak from hunger.


I will take delight in them to do what is good for them, and with all my heart and mind I will faithfully plant them in this land.


I will no longer allow the insults of the nations to be heard against you, and you will not have to endure the reproach of the peoples any more;  you will no longer cause your nation to stumble.  This is the declaration of the Lord God.” ’


The Lord has removed your punishment; he has turned back your enemy. The King of Israel, the Lord, is among you; you need no longer fear harm.


The Lord your God is among you, a warrior  who saves. He will rejoice over you  with gladness. He will be quiet  in his love. He will delight in you with singing.’


‘Daughter Zion, shout for joy and be glad, for I am coming to dwell among you’ #– #this is the Lord’s declaration.


So he told them this parable:


When he has found it, he joyfully puts it on his shoulders,


He will wipe away every tear from their eyes.  Death will be no more;  grief, crying, and pain will be no more,  because the previous things  have passed away.


For the Lamb who is at the centre of the throne will shepherd them; he will guide them to springs of the waters of life, and God will wipe away every tear from their eyes.
